A Very Good Impression

the opportunity:
Advanced Products Laboratories had recently received a U.S. patent on their new centrifuge technology. This breakthrough technology represents significant time and cost savings for manufacturers over traditional centrifuge clarification or filtration systems. APL needed a way to introduce the technology and detail its benefits for manufacturing prospects at an upcoming tradeshow, as well as announce it to the trade editors.

the objectives:
• create a brochure that communicates the impact this technology can have on the manufacturing process
• communicate details about the technology to trade press and solicit a feature article in targeted trade magazines
• find creative ways to stay within a tight budget

the work: Image
• creative content development, brochure design concept and execution, printing
• PR content development, media relations
• two-color over four-color, three-panel brochure for new filtration technology
• existing images were used throughout the brochure -- even for the background graphic on the cover/back (the patent drawing)

• PR campaign

the results:
• brochure helped generate several promising leads at tradeshow
• feature article placed in international filtration publication
• budget met thanks to curious works creative's extensive experience in similar manufacturing tools and processes which made content development very efficient, as well as the elimination of a photoshoot
